Light and Easy Biscuits

3 cups sifted flour
4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup milk
In bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.  Cut in Crisco until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.  Add milk, stir until blended.  Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface.  Knead lightly 8 to 10 times.  Roll dough.  Cut out biscuits, place close together in a greased 9" square pan.  Bake at 425 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
