Wonton Soup

1/2 Pound ground pork or ground beef
2 Green onions finely chopped
1 Clove garlic minced
1 Tablespoon stir fry sauce
1 dash of Salt and pepper
14 wonton wrappers
5 Cups chicken broth
1 1/2 Cups very thinly sliced bok choy
1 medium carrot shredded
1/2 Teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 medium carrot shredded
Combine the meat, scallions, garlic stir-fry sauce and salt & pepper.Put 2 teaspoons of filling in center of each wrapper.  Fold in a triangle and moisten the inside edges with water and firmly pinch to seal. Set on cornmeal dusted platter.Put a medium size pot of water on to to boil To make soup combine the chicken broth, bok choy, grated carrot and sesame oil in a medium sauce pan.  Salt to taste.  Cover pan and bring to a low boil.  Cook 2-3 minutes until the bok choy is tender and then turn off.Note:  bok choy is an elongated cabbage type vegetable.Thinly cut stems and shred the leaves.Add l teaspoon of salt to boiling water.  With slotted spoon carefully drop the wantons into the boiling water.  Keep the water at a low boil for 6 to 7 minutes or until the filling is cooked.
With the slotted spoon, carefully lift the wantons from the water and place in serving bowl.Quickly reheat the chicken broth and ladle over the wantons.  Makes 4 servings.
